New from "A Journey of the Heart". New from A Journey of the Heart: "Kitten Father Knows Best". Oh How I loved this show, which aired from 1953 to 1960. My Sister and I would watch it faithfully. My favorite character was "Kitten". She was just about my age at the time. This was a time of roller skates with keys that you wore around your neck. A time of catching grasshoppers in the back yard and lightening bugs at night, a time of jumping rope and riding bikes after dark. We wore circle skirts with cute pockets, button down sweaters, sweet pinafores, Organdy Dresses that scratched our legs when we walked and Ribbons in our Hair. I often wish my own children could have lived in this Special Era before Video games and Computers. Our Sweet "Kitten" will have many Cute outfits straight from the 50's. The following year we will be creating matching Mother and Daughter ensembles for them both!!! What FUN!!!! Chanti wears a gorgeous outfit in my favorite colors of soft green and peach. The skirt was created with a beautiful quilt-quality fabric featuring beautiful baby girls. It is so delicate! I have finished the skirt with a lovely Swiss Eyelet lace. The waist is a peach silk fabric embellished with a garland of soft silk flowered trim. Chanti's first underskirt features a row of sweet baby fabric. The second underskirt is finished with a silk peach ruffle. The third is a coordinating fabric of tiny roses. Her Blouse is covered in laces and silk flowered trims. Chanti wears a gorgeous Bonnet of peach and cream fabrics and lace. It ties is the back with a peach floral ribbon. A cream slip, bloomers, stockings and shoes complete this charming doll. Also included is a tiny Birth Announcement for the big day. It features a sweet baby charm and a pink heart charm. They are attached with a tiny blue diaper pin. Chanti and her Hubby has decided to spend their first New Years Eve at Central Park. Their first adventure is to Ice Skate at the lovely Central Park Skating Ring. Chanti is dressed in a gorgeous skirt of Tone on Tone Cream fabric. It is printed with silky leaves that have an embroidered look. The fabric is just lovely. The skirt is pleated in four pinch pleats. I love this look…..so Victorian. It is also embellished with a lovely Vintage Embroidered Trim that was Made in France. The Blouse is finished with the same Embroidered Trim. I have overlayed the trim with yet another Made in France Vintage Trim of Burgundy Flowers. The Sleeves are also detailed with Vintage trim. Chanti's first underskirt is finished with a Extra Wide Cream ruffle. The second is finished with a ruffle of Tone on Tone fabric. Her hair is tied with a gorgeous French Sheer Embroidered Ribbon. "Chanti'claire" - Harvest PostcardsNew from "A Journey of the Heart". "Chanti'claire Harvest Postcards". Oh How I love to decorate for Autumn!!!! "Chanti'claire Harvest Postcards" is perfect for the Fall season. Chanti wears a pinafore of soft cream and pale gold dots. The skirt is embellished with two photos using a Thanksgiving Vintage Postcard fabric. The hem is embellished with a burnt orange and green delicate Ribbon Trim. The trim is repeated at the waist along with a soft green Velvet band. Her blouse is crisp cream cotton trimmed with cream Venice Lace. The first underskirt features a double ruffle printed with the words: "Thank you God, for everything" and other lovely Thanksgiving sentiments. The second underskirt is a rich Fall plaid. To get cozy, Chanti wears a Full-Length Hooded Cape. The Cape is lined with the same fabric as her Pinafore Skirt. Her long blonde Sausage Curls have been tied in the back with a fall plaid ribbon. Chanti arrives with a Harvest Pumpkin that appears to be Hand-Stenciled. She also holds a Stirring Spoon made with honey and sugar. It has a Home Sweet Home ribbon tie. Chanti's blouse is a black and tan Moulin Rouge print finished with a black Velvet Ribbon, Ecru Gimp and tiny Wood Rose Buttons. The sleeves are edged in black velvet trim. She wears a black Lace Choker embellished with a Burgundy Ribbon Rose. Included is a cream slip, bloomers, stockings and cream Mary Jane shoes. Chanti's adorable hair is in a Gibson Girl Style. I just love the wig!!! I have topped her ringlets with a tan and burgundy French wired-ribbon. Judith Ann holds her Sweet Wool Felted Squirrel "Jumpers." SOOOOOO Darn CUTE!!!! Little Judith Ann is ready for Fall Dressed in an Acorn Printed Dress. Her Sweet Checked Pinafore opens in the Front to reveal her Acorn Dress. The skirt is finished with a double ruffle and cream Eyelet Lace. The Bodice is finished with a row of cream Ribbon Eyelet. The Skirt is Embellished with two Fall Ribbon Embroidered Flowers. Her First Underskirt is a soft sage green print finished with a Double Ruffle. "Bonnet Kitty"
New from "A Journey of the Heart". Introducing the Fifth doll in this delightful series!!!!!! One more to go and those who purchased all of the dolls in this charming series will receive their FREE Amy doll!!!! We still have most of the dolls left in this series for those that would like to catch up. Little Bonnet Baby Kitty is so special!! She holds a Hand-Made Wool Needle-Felted Kitty designed and created by my daughter Lindsey. Lindsey has sold quite a few of her little Woolies as special custom orders and on line. They are created with the process of Wool Needle-Felting. This is a very old technique of starting out with a handful of sheep wool and actually shaping and sculpting it with a tiny barbed needle. She shapes her little creatures by Jabbing at the wool in an up and down motion. The barbed needle actually binds the fibers of the wool. She shapes and sculpts the Hand-dyed wool and adds glass eyes and whiskers. Our little Bonnet Kitty holds her own Wool Needle-Felt cat that we have named Mickey Moo. Mickey Moo is a replica of our own sweet kitty with all of the same stripes and markings. Your Bonnet Kitty will arrive with a little Mickey Moo. You may also custom order a Needle-Felt Kitty to look just like your kitty. Lindsey will need to know if your kitty is striped, solid, mixed. She will also need the fur color and eye color. A picture will be helpful. Our sweet Bonnet Kitty is dressed in a retro 60's print of tiny daisies. Her white apron is embellished with an eyelet ribbon insert lace and tiny black ribbons. The bodice is embellished with Daisy appliques. Her first underskirt is tan finished with an extra wide ruffle. The second underskirt is black with a scattering of white dots. Bonnet Kitty holds a darling Straw Hat covered in Daisies, Blackberries and white Hydrangeas. It is finished with a band of black ribbon and a wide black bow. Her sweet Bobbed hair is tied with a black dotted ribbon bow. In her arms she holds her little Needle-Felt Mickey Moo. Included is a white slip, bloomers, stockings and black Mary Jane Shoes. |

"Autumn"New from "A Journey of the Heart". Welcome the cool weather with this absolutely beautiful doll. Autumn wears a gorgeous skirt that is layered with four ruffles trimmed with over 360 inches of lace! I have created the waistband with a tan suede fabric and embellished it with a lovely leaf shaped lace and delicate die-cut applique. Autumn's blouse is a mix of sheer fabrics, lace, ribbons and appliques. She wears an underskirt of tan trimmed with an extra wide ruffle. Her pretty auburn hair is haloed with dried-look fall flowers and leaves. Autumn is completed with a basket of autumn flowers and a delicate die-cut wreath of paper and dried flowers. "Cherrie" - Life is Just a Chair of Bowlies
New from "A Journey of the Heart". I absolutely LOVE Mary Engelbreit and her delightful drawings. When I found this adorable border fabric, which I believe is now out of print I just had to have it. Sweet Cherrie wears a black dotted dress printed with red cherries. The front of the dress is covered with an apron that is printed with a little girl carrying baskets of cherries and stacks of pretty bowls, even a little kitty :-). I have trimmed the bottom and sides of the apron with Vintage white lace. The bodice is also Vintage lace trimmed with red ribbons and red gingham rosebuds. Cherrie wears a red gingham underskirt, a yellow cherry printed underskirt and a red underskirt. She also wears a red gingham blouse embellished with a tiny cherry at the collar. Her auburn braids are pulled up and tied with a rich red plaid ribbon. Cherrie arrives with her very own white porcelain bowl of yummy cherries. SOOOOOOO Cute!!!! |

"Chanti'claire's Journal"New from "A Journey of the Heart". I absolutely love the beautiful fabrics used in this design. Chanti'claire's skirt is a wonderful curry color print with soft mauve and peach roses. The skirt is double ruffled and trimmed with curry ribbon, silk rose buds and a lovely ribbon rose applique at the waist. The skirt is split to show off the two rows of gorgeous antique cutwork lace on the second underskirt. The third underskirt is finished with an extra wide ruffle of coordinating fabric with fancy script writing. Soooo appropriate for this design. The fourth underskirt is a deep mauve edged with an extra wide ruffle. Chanti'claire wears a delicate blouse of pin tucks, pleats, ruffles and lace. It is just lovely!!!!!!! The neckline is embellished with a double mauve rose. Her straw hat is completely covered with mauve roses, sprays of mauve and yellow Heather, burnt orange roses and a pretty flowered bow. Chanti'claire arrives with a gorgeous Battenburg lace umbrella, a four page Journal, feather plume to write with and a tiny paperweight. |

"Little Buttercup" wears a dress that is hand-painted with leaves and embellished with three-dimensional Daisies and Buttercups. The hem is finished with yellow ric rac and Venice lace. The bodice is trimmed with a row of pretty daisies and ric rac. "Little Buttercup" wears three underskirts ........one is green checked to match her sleeves, one is white and trimmed with lace and the last is a brown check.
